Gestalt comes from
the German word meaning whole or complete.
In Gestalt counseling this wholeness involves:
- a holistic approach
embracing mind, body and spirit
- recognising
and reclaiming parts of the personality that have been denied or disowned.
- addressing unresolved
situations that are causing concern.
The Gestalt approach
has influenced and enriched many other therapeutic models of working with people.
