Working With Children: A Gestalt Approach

This workshop uses didactic, practical and experiental input to explore some of the
issues and processes involved in working therapeutically with children.

Topics include a review of attachment and child development theory, play and the family field.
Through case vignettes and video clips we will consider the role of the child therapist and
how this differs from working with adults.

Participants will be introduced to some creative arts- modalities e.g. drawing, clay,
music- making, sandtray, commonly used in therapy with young persons.

The workshop may also be of interest to those wishing to explore their own playfulness.
